Description
Virginia Beach Public Library is seeking proposals for mobile data service for its library bookmobiles. The service must provide reliable internet connectivity along regular routes and destinations throughout the Virginia Beach area, support approximately 10 staff and patron devices per bookmobile, and work with the library's existing dual-carrier IR1700 Wi-Fi Router with automatic switching. Proposals must include a coverage map, secure web-based management and reporting tools, device access controls, CIPA-compliant filtering with customer-adjustable settings, and 24/7/365 support. Vendors must identify all monthly recurring and non-recurring charges, provide 12-, 24-, and 36-month pricing for contracted service, and address service availability beginning July 1, 2027. The solicitation also permits month-to-month proposals, allows two additional 12-month extensions unless otherwise stated, requires no price increases during the term, and requires compliance with applicable E-Rate and covered-equipment restrictions.
