Description
Virginia Beach Public Library is seeking proposals for mobile data service for library bookmobiles operating throughout the Virginia Beach area. The service must provide reliable internet connectivity for approximately 10 staff and patron devices per bookmobile and function with the applicant's existing IR1700 dual-carrier Wi-Fi routers with automatic switching. Proposals must include a coverage map for the service area, all monthly recurring and non-recurring charges, estimated taxes and surcharges, and the provider's terms and conditions. Required capabilities include a secure web-based management and reporting portal, device access controls, CIPA-compliant filtering with applicant-adjustable settings, and 24/7/365 support. Contracted-service proposals should provide 12-, 24-, and 36-month pricing; month-to-month offers will also be considered. Services are needed effective July 1, 2027, with no price increases during the term and an option for two additional 12-month extensions. Proposals must be emailed to all listed Form 470 contacts and include the applicant name, Form 470 number, SPIN, service-provider terms and conditions, a completed Pricing Attachment, and a service-provider coverage map.
