Description
Vallejo City Unified School District is seeking one or more qualified tutoring vendors to implement a comprehensive TK-12 intervention program. Services may include in-person tutoring at elementary, middle, and high school sites and virtual tutoring during traditional or non-traditional hours, with emphasis on literacy, mathematics, core subject support, and English language development for English Learners. Vendors may propose any or all service options and must identify available delivery formats, grade levels, subject areas, materials or curriculum, tutor-to-student ratios, session frequency, staffing capacity, recruitment and training practices, progress monitoring, reporting, family and school engagement, and implementation and technical support. The program is expected to support high-dosage and on-demand tutoring, generally at no more than a 3:1 student-to-tutor ratio and at least three sessions per week. Proposals must address evidence-based instructional strategies, student personalization, data and usage reporting, tutor qualifications and screening, background checks, and alignment with district-selected curriculum and program effectiveness targets. The response package must include the district-provided checklist, vendor contact information, non-collusion affidavit, debarment certification, references form, program proposal response, and program price proposal. The initial contract period is September 11, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with up to two additional one-year renewal terms.
