Description
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment seeks a contractor to monitor mine-pool and groundwater conditions, maintain the existing groundwater monitoring network and early alert system, and provide technical support for activities at the California Gulch Superfund Site. Work includes maintaining and operating continuous monitoring equipment, downloading and reporting groundwater-level data quarterly, maintaining and updating the site data website, and maintaining and monitoring stream gauge stations and groundwater pumping systems. The contractor must also provide recommendations to improve the monitoring program and support the site's operable units. The contractor will submit quarterly groundwater-level monitoring reports and other required deliverables. The initial contract period is one year, with up to four additional one-year renewals at the State's discretion. The project budget is approximately $75,000 per year and is not expected to exceed $375,000 over five years unless additional funding becomes available.
