Description
Suffolk County seeks qualified consultants to provide nature-based stormwater management design consulting for Bavarian Shores at Lake Ronkonkoma County Park. The scope includes design, engineering, permitting, and preparation of a nature-based stormwater management report and restoration plan that produces a shovel-ready construction plan. Planned features include bioswales, bioretention and constructed wetland features, native wetland and pollinator plantings, runoff capture and treatment, erosion control, groundwater recharge, nuisance-wildlife mitigation, passive recreation amenities, and educational interpretive signage. The proposal must address the project understanding, technical approach, staffing and key personnel, schedule, subcontractors, qualifications, financial viability, client history, references, conflicts of interest, and cost. A separate PDF cost proposal is required. The contract is anticipated to run from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2028, with one one-year renewal option, for a maximum total term of 36 months. Subcontractors require prior County approval.
