Description
Boone County is seeking a contractor for an as-needed term-and-supply contract covering bridge debris removal. The contractor must provide supervision, labor, materials, equipment, traffic control, mobilization and demobilization, maintenance and repair, fuel, hauling, disposal, ground restoration, temporary-access-road removal, work-zone signage, permits, and related services. Work includes removing fallen trees and other debris from streambeds around bridge supports, moving debris downstream when feasible, or hauling it off-site to the County's designated disposal location. Required bid pricing includes mobilization, delivered-load rates, boat, long-reach excavator, chainsaw, rigging, debris-truck, laborer, operator, boat-operator, and truck-driver rates. The County will request project-specific quotes under the awarded contract, with quotes due within 72 hours of request and work scheduled by agreement. The initial contract term is November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2027, with up to four additional one-year renewals and a possible six-month extension. Addendum 1 adds a required field for the maximum percentage increase in pricing during renewal periods and must be acknowledged, completed, signed, and submitted with the bid. Prevailing wage and bond requirements do not apply. The solicitation requires specified insurance, including workers' compensation, employers' liability, commercial general liability, and business automobile liability coverage, as well as response forms, references, certifications, a statement of bidder qualifications, and the completed addendum.
