Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information from qualified contractors for a potential base-year plus four-option-year service agreement covering maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of fire and life safety equipment. The scope includes sprinkler systems, fire pumps, standpipes, kitchen hood suppression and cleaning systems, carbon dioxide and gaseous systems, portable fire extinguishers, life safety dampers, fire doors, life safety door assemblies, backflow preventers, and clothes dryer vents. Approximately 360 portable fire extinguishers, 450 life safety dampers, 350 life safety door assemblies, and 20 backflow preventers are identified, along with other equipment and systems. Work must follow manufacturer recommendations and applicable NFPA 25, 72, 80, and 101 requirements. The contractor must provide all parts, labor, travel, electronic service reports within seven calendar days after work, repair estimates, and required certifications. Preventive maintenance must be performed by manufacturer-certified technicians, and technicians must have at least five continuous years of relevant experience. Subcontracting is prohibited without written Contracting Officer permission. This is a sources-sought market research notice, not a request for proposals or quotes; respondents must submit the contractor information form and a capabilities statement.
