Description
The City of Columbia is seeking a contractor to remove and dispose of the existing emergency generator and furnish, deliver, and install one new emergency standby generator at the Utilities Power Plant. The generator must be new, current production, natural-gas powered, rated at least 130 kW, and provide 240/120-volt, single-phase, 60 Hz service. The work includes all labor, materials, equipment, permits, startup, testing, commissioning, concrete modifications if needed, operator training, and complete operation, maintenance, and warranty documentation. The warranty must be at least two years. The bid includes separate firm-fixed-price line items for the generator and its installation. Bidders should provide organizational information, relevant experience and references, key-personnel qualifications, a method of performance, applicable licenses or certifications, warranty information, and subcontractor information when applicable. The solicitation also addresses prevailing wages, OSHA safety training, insurance, performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, and work-authorization compliance. A non-mandatory pre-proposal tour is scheduled, and written questions are due before the bid deadline. Addendum #1 requires bidders to submit a signed acknowledgment of the addendum.
