Description
The University of Missouri is conducting a Request for Information regarding the proposed Next Generation University of Missouri Research Reactor (NextGen MURR), a 20-megawatt-or-larger research reactor intended to support neutron-beam research and production of short-lived medical radioisotopes. The project scope includes procurement and construction of the Reactor Building, Reactor Auxiliary Building, associated utility facilities, and potentially neutron research, radioisotope processing, and nuclear research facilities. The RFI requests information from organizations with specialty nuclear experience regarding nuclear facility design, engineering, procurement, construction, NQA-1 quality programs, nuclear-qualified suppliers and labor, construction delivery models, pricing structures, subcontractor relationships, procurement of reactor equipment, and anticipated project challenges. Responses are informational only; no contract will be awarded as a result of this RFI. Respondents are encouraged but not required to answer each question, and submissions should not exceed 50 pages.
