Description
Collin County is soliciting a contractor to replace existing institutional fire sprinklers in inmate cells within Clusters 1, 3, 4, and 5 of the Collin County Jail with Tyco Raven K-5.6 institutional sprinklers. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, permits, submittals, supervision, testing, firestopping, related piping adjustments, and a complete functional automatic fire sprinkler system complying with NFPA 13 and applicable authority requirements. The contractor must survey existing conditions, install new sprinkler piping as needed for flush-mounted installation, provide product data, methods of procedure, testing documentation, operating and maintenance information, as-built drawings, owner training, and a one-year warranty. The probable construction cost is $150,000. The solicitation requires a mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk, a bid security amount of at least 5% of the total bid, and post-award performance, payment, and one-year maintenance bonds.
