Description
Nevada County is selling approximately 6,820.8 thousand board feet of decked sawlogs, totaling approximately 11,900.6 CCF, consisting of ponderosa/Jeffrey pine, sugar/Western white pine, white/red fir, Douglas-fir, and incense cedar. The successful purchaser will submit a lump-sum bid for the timber, take title, remove all logs from the sale areas, and provide delivery receipts from receiving mills. The timber is sold as-is, and the County does not guarantee estimated volumes, costs, or values. The purchaser must obtain a county haul permit, comply with Forest Service resource-protection, fire, wet-season hauling, and environmental requirements, maintain haul roads, document road conditions before and after hauling, complete erosion-control and landing-closeout work, remove remaining material, and complete applicable California timber yield-tax reporting. The bid package requires Form AD-1048, a relevant-experience narrative of no more than two pages, a project plan of no more than four pages addressing schedule, personnel, subcontractors, methods, and equipment, and a lump-sum timber-value bid. A performance bond and insurance are required after award and before operations.
