Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is conducting market research for a potential small-business set-aside scope-dredge-to-budget contract for shallow-draft maintenance dredging. The contemplated work includes pipeline dredging in the Channel to Victoria, the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway and tributary channels from Matagorda Bay to Port Isabel, and the Channel to Harlingen in Texas. Dredges must remove material to depths of approximately 16–17 feet MLLW, transport it to designated dredged-material placement areas, and achieve a minimum production rate of 12,000 cubic yards per day for each described work area. Placement may include upland, semi-confined, open-water, bird-island, thin-layer seagrass, marsh, and beach sites, as applicable. This Sources Sought/RFI requests a capability response rather than a proposal or price. Respondents must provide firm and point-of-contact information, current SAM status, equipment ownership and dredge identification, business-size and socioeconomic information, bonding capacity, comparable dredging experience, geographic and project-size capability, key personnel, and any proposed teaming arrangement. Comparable experience must include two projects exceeding $10 million completed within the past seven years, with project details and validation contacts. Responses are limited to 30 pages and must be submitted by email using the specified subject line.
