Description
The Connecticut General Assembly is seeking a contractor to transcribe House and Senate regular, special, veto, and technical sessions; public hearings and listening sessions; and additional proceedings or excerpts requested on demand. The contractor will receive digital recordings and supporting documentation, prepare transcripts in Office 365 Word/DOCX format, follow the provided style guide, perform independent quality control, and return completed transcripts electronically. The contractor must maintain a qualified transcription staff, including a pool of transcriptionists with at least five years of experience, and provide a designated primary contact. Standard transcripts are due within 10 business days, corrected transcripts within seven normal business days, and rush transcripts within 24 hours. The contractor must support long audio files, M4A and WAV recordings, FTP access, and occasional video transcription. Proposals must include fixed per-page pricing for standard and rush transcription and address the required procedures, formatting, quality control, technology, turnaround, staffing, warranty, confidentiality, and contract terms.
