Description
The project includes construction of a 20,000-square-foot concrete skate park at Wolfe Park, with lighting, parking lot construction and driveway relocation, sidewalks, stormwater management, building demolition, and electrical, water, and sewer utility improvements. Harvell Street work includes traffic calming, narrowing the roadway, relocating a crosswalk, and installing signage, along with pavement restoration and related site work. The contractor must coordinate the skate park work with one of two pre-approved skate park subcontractors and the skate park designer; the skate park subcontractor performs the skate park construction while the prime contractor coordinates site interfaces. A bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of the total bid is required, and the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds.
