Description
The City of Murfreesboro Water Resources Department is soliciting bids for two new center pivot irrigation systems: an east pivot with a 453-foot system length and a west pivot with a 409-foot system length. The systems must include galvanized steel pipelines, articulated span connections, minimum 9-foot ground clearance, four-leg towers, specified tires and gearboxes, sprinkler assemblies, automated water-control valves, flowmeters, booster pumps, end guns, GPS positioning, cellular remote control, touchscreen panels, variable-rate irrigation, and scheduling capabilities. The awarded contractor must mark pivot center points, verify final measurements, connect the systems to the City-provided water supply, complete electrical installation from existing three-phase poles, obtain required permits and inspections, provide on-site training and post-installation technical support, and supply documentation demonstrating compliance with the specifications. Equipment must be new and current manufacture. The bid includes a lump-sum price for the system and associated labor, materials, freight, installation, and services; award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Delivery is required within 24 weeks after contract execution, and the contract term is one year from execution.
