Description
Jefferson County Public Schools is soliciting proposals for E-rate Category 1 Wide Area Network services under RFP #3193. Vendors may propose leased lit fiber connectivity, leased dark fiber, or both. The initial phase targets 12 locations at 2.5 Gbps symmetrical service, with district-wide applicability to approximately 169 eligible schools, administrative buildings, and non-instructional facilities. Required bandwidth pricing ranges from 10 Mbps through 400 Gbps, with options for future site additions, relocations, and bandwidth changes. The selected provider will be responsible for network design, scalable and resilient architecture, project management, site surveys, permitting, physical installation, testing and commissioning, routine and non-routine maintenance, service-level commitments, as-built documentation, and staff training. Proposals must include technical and project-management information, references, active E-rate SPIN confirmation, compliance information, and separate pricing for monthly recurring costs, standard installation costs, and special construction. The contract period is January 1, 2027, or the date of Board approval, whichever is later, through June 30, 2032, with ten optional annual renewals.
