Description
The University of Louisville is soliciting proposals for a contractor to provide ongoing containerized collection of primarily non-recycled, non-hazardous solid waste. The contractor must furnish trucks, dumpsters and other containers where required, compactors, equipment, qualified drivers, labor, hauling, and disposal at permitted facilities. Services include regular and on-call collection, special-waste roll-off services, container placement and setup, maintenance, cleaning, repair or replacement, and reporting of collected tonnage or cubic yards. The scope covers University facilities and may be used by participating Partnership for a Green City entities, including Jefferson County Public Schools, Louisville Metro Government, Jefferson Community & Technical College, and the Louisville Regional Airport Authority. The proposal must address qualifications and ability to perform, related experience, financial pricing, environmental impact, and other relevant information. Pricing is required on the attached price proposal sheet for each participating partner, additional on-call services, leasing options, and a potential single contract covering all partners. The contractor must provide at least three relevant references, identify permitted waste-management facilities, and furnish required insurance and performance and payment bonds. The resulting contract is intended to run for five years from award, with possible annual renewals by written mutual agreement.
