Description
The Department of Healthcare Access and Information, through the Office of Statewide Hospital Planning and Development, is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from structural engineering firms to provide independent review of construction documents for hospitals and skilled nursing facilities and to develop OSHPD Preapproved Details. Work includes review of primary structures, nonstructural components, post-approval documents, seismic retrofits, calculations, design criteria, computer models, and construction documents for compliance with California Building Standards Code Title 24, Code Application Notices, Policy Intent Notices, and related procedures. Firms must demonstrate qualified California-licensed structural engineers, relevant healthcare-facility experience, knowledge of applicable codes and HCAI procedures, quality-control and quality-assurance processes, experience with advanced seismic systems and analyses, project staffing and availability, software capabilities, and the ability to meet established schedules. The solicitation establishes a three-year retainer contract with an aggregate ceiling of $4,500,000; assignments will be separately negotiated, and no assignments are guaranteed.
