Description
The City of San Bernardino is accepting applications for FY 2027–2028 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding. The City anticipates approximately $2,600,000 in CDBG funding and $256,500 in ESG funding, subject to final HUD allocations. CDBG activities may include eligible capital improvements, public services, economic development, and housing or neighborhood revitalization. ESG activities may include street outreach, emergency shelter, homelessness prevention, rapid rehousing, and Homeless Management Information System costs. Applicants must meet applicable eligibility and federal program requirements; ESG applicants must provide a 100% funding match. Applications are submitted through the City's Neighborly Participant Portal. The application requires project and organizational information, including a project description, project location, cost allocation plan, staffing and position information, organizational governing documents, audited financial materials, and other supporting documentation. The solicitation also describes evaluation criteria and a technical assistance webinar. Funding recommendations are subject to approval and final funding availability.
