Description
The City of Spokane is conducting a Request for Information regarding secured bicycle parking in its downtown area. The City is exploring available bicycle parking products and services, including short-term and long-term parking solutions, system implementation, infrastructure surveys, recommendations for parking types and quantities, and implementation planning. Potential solutions may include app-based or fee-for-service long-term parking managed outside City infrastructure, as well as safe storage and charging for e-bikes. Solutions must meet applicable APBP, AASHTO, and NACTO standards. Respondents are asked to describe their systems, comparable municipal operations, deployment timelines and community engagement, utility or solar requirements, e-bike safety protocols, parking restrictions, abandoned-bicycle management, maintenance and lifecycle costs, business and pricing models, revenue or cost-sharing arrangements, data access, mapping-app integration, customer feedback, issue-response standards, and marketing. Actual pricing must not be submitted. This RFI is informational and non-binding and will not result in a contract; the information may be used to develop a future RFP.
