Description
The Bureau of Land Management seeks a small-business contractor to replace an existing rooftop air-conditioning unit at Smokey Circle. The work includes demolition and lawful disposal of the existing unit and refrigerant, investigation of existing electrical and gas service, provision of a compatible roof curb or compatible replacement unit, installation, duct connections, weatherproofing, roof protection and repairs, programmable thermostat installation, testing, and HVAC system balancing. The replacement must be a packaged rooftop gas/electric unit with nominal 5-ton electric cooling, two-stage cooling, specified natural-gas heating capacity, R-454B refrigerant, integrated gas furnace, direct-expansion cooling, supply fan and controls, minimum 2,000 cfm nominal supply air, factory economizer, outdoor-air hood, and filter section. Trane, Carrier, Lennox, or a government-approved equivalent may be proposed. The quote must include a completed and signed SF 1449 with pricing, signed acknowledgment of amendments, a complete response to FAR 52.212-2, and the attached price schedule. The evaluation considers technical capability, past performance, and price; the technical response must include a replacement-unit product specification sheet and work plan, and past performance must include at least three HVAC material supply, delivery, and installation projects with specified project and reference information. Amendment 0001 posts questions and answers, confirms that no site visit is permitted, and leaves all other terms and conditions unchanged.
