Description
The Town of Needham is soliciting bids for one contractor to provide on-call snow hauling services as needed during the winter season from November 15, 2026, through April 30, 2027. The contractor must furnish labor and equipment to remove and transport snow to designated dumps, with equipment and operators available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including holidays. Emergency requests must be acknowledged within two hours, and operations must begin within eight hours of notification unless otherwise directed. The anticipated maximum equipment requirement is three 10-cubic-yard six-wheel dump trucks, eighteen 18-cubic-yard ten-wheel dump trucks, and seven 32-cubic-yard 18-wheel dump trucks, each with a driver. One D6-or-larger tracked bulldozer is optional. Bidders must submit unit prices, equipment information, required bid forms, at least five professional references including at least three governmental units, transporter and vehicle documentation, and insurance certificates. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder; no bid, payment, or performance bond is required.
