Description
The City of Las Vegas is accepting applications from qualified nonprofits for two-year Community Development Block Grant and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS funding. Eligible activities include preventing and reducing homelessness, direct housing assistance, supportive services, HIV case management, health services, economic opportunity programs for low- and moderate-income individuals, safe and livable community initiatives, and educational enrichment. Applicants must generally be IRS 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) nonprofits in good standing, have operated for at least one year before the application release date, maintain good standing with the Nevada Secretary of State, and hold a current City of Las Vegas business license for the service address. HOPWA applicants must serve clients with HIV or AIDS and provide HIV case management and/or direct housing services. Applicants must attend one mandatory in-person technical assistance workshop, with RSVP required. Awards are contingent on the City's receipt of annual federal entitlement funding.
