Description
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is soliciting proposals from qualified Construction Managers at Risk for preconstruction and, if authorized, construction services for upgrades to an existing operational data center in its Science and Engineering Building. The estimated project cost is approximately $1,300,000. The anticipated preconstruction phase is December 2026 through January 2027, the construction phase is April through July 2027, and project closeout is anticipated in August 2027. The scope includes constructability review, cost estimating, scheduling, procurement and long-lead equipment planning, existing-condition investigations, logistics planning, value engineering, subcontractor and trade-package planning, and development of a Guaranteed Maximum Price. Construction work may include electrical distribution, UPS systems, power distribution units, switchgear, mechanical and HVAC systems, in-row cooling, plumbing, fire protection, life safety, structural and architectural modifications, controls integration, testing, balancing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing. The CMAR must protect ongoing data center operations and coordinate shutdowns, cutovers, temporary systems, and owner-furnished equipment. Proposals are limited to 55 pages, and the mandatory site visit requires attendance for the entire visit.
