Description
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas is soliciting a turnkey contractor to modernize two existing hydraulic passenger elevators serving six levels at Tonopah Residence Hall. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, permits, engineering, supervision, demolition, new hydraulic power units and controls, non-proprietary diagnostic systems, car and hall fixtures, doors and operators, emergency communications, cab finishes, and code-compliant testing and certification. The project also includes coordinated architectural, structural, fire alarm, telecommunications, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing modifications, including a new fire alarm closet, relocated fire alarm and emergency communication equipment, new elevator disconnects and lighting, ductwork and exhaust improvements, plumbing valve replacement, and protection of existing sump pumps and controls. The building will be closed during construction, both elevators may be taken out of service simultaneously, and substantial completion is required by August 20, 2027. The solicitation estimates the project at approximately $972,320 and requires a one-year warranty plus 12 months of preventive maintenance and emergency callback service.
