Description
The City of Colton is soliciting a contractor for landscaping improvements to medians on North Mt. Vernon Avenue. The work includes mobilization; construction surveying and staking; temporary traffic control; water pollution control; clearing, grubbing, grading, and removal of native material, vegetation, and debris; weed treatment; installation of weed-block fabric and 4-inch aluminum landscape edging; and installation of approximately 3,150 square feet of Apache Brown rock and 3,100 square feet of California Gold rock, each approximately 2 inches deep. The project must be completed within 45 working days after the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must hold a California Class A or C-27 contractor's license, comply with prevailing-wage, Davis-Bacon, certified-payroll, contractor-registration, traffic-control, and insurance requirements, and submit a bid bond of at least 10% of the total bid price. The apparent low bidder must provide the original bid bond within seven days after bid opening; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds before contract execution.
