Description
The City of Bondurant is requesting proposals from qualified physicians and physician practices or organizations to provide Emergency Medical Services Medical Director services for Bondurant Emergency Services, a transporting advanced life support fire and EMS department. The selected Medical Director will provide clinical medical direction, physician consultation, protocol development and maintenance, EMS provider credentialing, patient-care audits, continuous quality improvement, case review, education and training support, regulatory assistance, and alternate medical-direction coverage. The designated physician must be licensed to practice medicine in Iowa, legally eligible to serve as an EMS Medical Director, and able to maintain the required availability and professional liability coverage. Proposals must address the respondent's qualifications, EMS medical-direction experience, service approach, 24/7 availability and backup coverage, transition plan, references, insurance and risk information, conflicts of interest, contract exceptions, and compensation model. The City will consider volunteer or no-fee arrangements, nominal stipends, and fixed annual professional-services fees. The anticipated initial term is three years, from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2029, with up to two additional one-year renewal options. One electronic PDF proposal is required by email, generally not exceeding 20 pages excluding specified materials and appendices.
