Description
The Des Moines Metropolitan Wastewater Reclamation Authority is soliciting sealed bids from qualified companies for the Westside Basin Knife Gate Valve Rebuild. The work involves removing, inspecting, rebuilding, testing, and reinstalling four 24-inch Dezurik Model KGC knife gate valves at the Westside Pump Station, including shutdown coordination, temporary blind flanges, manufacturer-directed inspection and rebuilding, component replacement, testing under operating conditions, leakage correction, and disposal of removed materials. The pump station must remain operational except during approved short shutdowns, with at least three pumps available. The contractor must coordinate with the original equipment manufacturer or its representative and complete the project by March 1, 2027. The electronic bid submission requires company and personnel information, three similar-project references, disclosures concerning liens or disciplinary matters, conflict-of-interest information, bidder acknowledgment, pricing, supplier information, and the Insurance Carrier form. Responses must be submitted through the electronic bidding system; faxed, emailed, mailed, and hand-delivered responses are not accepted.
