Description
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support is conducting a Sources Sought/RFI for planned competitive long-term contracts under its Tailored Logistics Support Program. The follow-on requirement would supply a broad catalog of wood products, including preservative-treated construction poles, railroad ties, softwood and hardwood lumber, and construction plywood. The RFI identifies 19 potential line items with National Stock Numbers and estimated annual demand, including substantial quantities of dimensional lumber and plywood. The anticipated contract would be a 100% small-business set-aside, with the Trade Agreements Act applicable. Vendors would be responsible for truckload-quantity pricing and FOB Destination delivery to customers in the listed Central Region states and territories, generally under a 14-day standard delivery expectation with possible exceptions for certain materials and orders. Respondents are asked to describe their product availability, commercial and government customers, sourcing and distribution challenges, lead times, delivery infrastructure, ramp-up period, surge capacity, and typical truckload quantities. This is market research rather than a solicitation for contract award.
