Description
The Mississippi State Department of Health is soliciting bids for a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician consultant to support the statewide OB System of Care. Services include serving on Level I-IV maternal facility inspection and designation teams; reviewing clinical, operational, quality, and risk-management materials; participating in on-site evaluations; providing post-inspection recommendations; and advising on facility readiness, maternal risk management, clinical capabilities, and designation standards. The consultant will also provide physician leadership and strategic consultation for development and implementation of the statewide OB System of Care Plan, evidence-based perinatal practices, maternal quality-improvement initiatives, performance metrics, maternal morbidity and mortality trends, clinical protocols, stakeholder meetings, workgroups, and related maternal-fetal medicine matters. The solicitation requires a current unrestricted physician license, Maternal-Fetal Medicine board certification, completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency and MFM fellowship, at least five years of recent MFM clinical experience, relevant collaboration experience, a resume, professional licenses and certificates, and applicable insurance. The bid form includes estimated quantities for 36 months of consulting, 36 inspections, three plan-development or implementation projects, and 36 months of additional consultation; proposed fees must include travel and related expenses.
