Description
The City of Jackson's Office of Housing and Community Development is soliciting qualifications from general contractors and subcontractors to establish an approved contractor list for housing construction, rehabilitation, and minor repair projects funded through Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership programs. Anticipated work is on screened and approved projects within the City of Jackson and is limited primarily to plumbing, electrical, and roofing systems, with related rehabilitation services as required. Respondents must demonstrate applicable licensing, certifications, financial stability, insurance, bonding, organizational qualifications, and relevant experience. Submissions must include a letter of interest, business and licensing documentation, insurance evidence, contractor's bond, financial statements, three project references, conflict-of-interest disclosures, and an Equal Business Opportunity Plan. Experience with rehabilitation services, local hiring, MBE/WBE participation, Davis-Bacon, HUD Section 3, community engagement, local suppliers, sustainability, and schedule and budget management will be evaluated.
