Description
The City of Jackson's Office of Housing and Community Development is soliciting qualifications from general contractors and subcontractors to establish an Approved Contractor List for housing construction, rehabilitation, and minor repair projects funded through the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership programs. Anticipated work is limited primarily to plumbing, electrical, and roofing systems, with compliance required with applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations. Respondents must demonstrate relevant experience and capacity and submit licensing and certification records, business registration and good-standing documentation, insurance evidence, a contractor's bond, SAMS number, applicable master and state licenses, financial statements or credit documentation, three project references, conflict-of-interest documentation, and a signed Equal Business Opportunity Plan. Responses are evaluated on experience, capacity, financial stability, compliance experience, and proposed community-oriented practices. Selected firms will be placed on an approved list and may later be solicited for sealed bids on individual rehabilitation projects.
