Description
The City of Jackson's Office of Housing and Community Development is soliciting statements of qualifications from contractors and general contractors to establish an Approved Contractor List. Listed contractors may later be solicited for sealed bids for housing construction and rehabilitation activities funded through Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership Grant funds. Respondents must submit three copies of a Statement of Qualification Packet containing applicable licenses and certifications, a privilege license, certificate of liability, City Master Trade License, Secretary of State good-standing information, MSBOC license, contractor's bond, and evidence of the required City-issued Master License. The packet must also describe similar housing, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, construction, or rehabilitation work completed during the past five years, including project cost, completion schedule, and project-owner references. A completed and signed Equal Business Opportunity Plan is required as a precondition to selection.
