Description
Madison County School District is soliciting proposals for 132 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) or battery-backup units, specified as American Power Conversion or equivalent, together with necessary software and licenses. The scope includes installation and initial configuration and is intended to upgrade UPS equipment across all school locations. The resulting contract will incorporate the district’s standard contract addendum, which includes requirements concerning insurance, data security, software licensing, subcontractors, background checks and fingerprint screening for contractors working directly with students, and other contractual terms. The addendum requires contractor insurance when the contract exceeds $25,000 or when requested by the district, including general liability, workers’ compensation, vehicle liability when applicable, and cyber liability for IT contractor services.
