U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations is seeking 1,063 P.A.C.E. Next Generation earbuds for Air Interdiction Agents and Aviation Enforcement Agents. The earbuds will be used with Rotary Wing Advanced Technical Helmet flight helmets and headsets to support communication with Federal Aviation Administration Air Traffic Control and improve communication clarity and hearing protection during aviation and law enforcement operations. The requirement is identified as a sole-source, brand-name acquisition because the P.A.C.E. Next Generation earbuds have the specific connection, size, and silicone-tip configuration required to work with the new flight helmets. The agency intends to award the purchase order to Pro Flight Gear, LLC.
