Description
Pima Community College is soliciting competitively sealed bids from qualified vendors to establish multiple standing purchase orders for safety footwear, including boots and accessories. Vendors must maintain a staffed local storefront in the Tucson metropolitan area with trained personnel, sufficient inventory, and the ability to properly fit employees. The College may inspect vendor facilities. Employees will generally pick up footwear at the vendor’s store, although delivery to the College may be required when specified at the time of order. Products must comply with specified ANSI and ASTM protective-footwear standards, including ASTM F2413 impact and compression requirements, slip resistance, steel or non-metallic toe protection, and electrical-hazard protection where applicable. Acceptable footwear may be high- or low-cut and black, brown, or tan. Vendors must support exchanges for improper fit within 30 days, replace defective products, and absorb restocking, shipping, and inspection costs. The contract will use monthly departmental invoicing and may include purchases of orthopedic insoles when authorized by the applicable department.
