Description
Taos Municipal Schools is seeking qualification-based proposals from qualified commercial fire alarm installation companies to replace the existing fire alarm system at Arroyos del Norte Elementary School. The work includes site assessment; engineered, sealed drawings; code-compliant design under NFPA 72 and the New Mexico Fire Code; plan-review submissions; permitting; demolition of obsolete equipment; installation of a new addressable system, control and notification equipment, detectors, pull stations, annunciators, wiring, conduits, and related components; and repair of affected walls, ceiling panels, and entry points. The contractor must coordinate inspections with the authority having jurisdiction, perform acceptance testing and commissioning, provide as-built drawings, completion certificates, testing and inspection reports, manuals, maintenance instructions, spare-parts information, owner training, and warranty terms. Proposals must include pricing, change-order estimates, staffing and job descriptions, equipment lists, required licenses and certifications, insurance documentation, and at least three similar-project references from the past five years. The solicitation also requires background checks for onsite personnel and does not allow subcontractors unless specifically approved in writing.
