Description
Dorchester County seeks a qualified and properly licensed contractor to provide a complete, turnkey replacement of the existing fire alarm control and detection system at the approximately 35,331-square-foot, two-story Dorchester County Services Building. The scope includes evaluating existing conditions; designing the replacement system; preparing plans, shop drawings, calculations, product data, and permit submittals; obtaining approvals; furnishing and installing new equipment; programming; testing; commissioning; and integrating the system with retained horns, strobes, HVAC shutdown functions, elevator recall, access-control and door-release functions, sprinkler interfaces, remote annunciators, and the existing supervising-station monitoring service. Existing notification appliances are intended to remain in service, and ongoing monitoring charges are excluded. The contractor must provide removal and disposal of replaced equipment, restoration of disturbed surfaces, training, searchable electronic closeout documentation, warranties, and owner-level system information. Equipment must be new, current-production, listed, compatible with retained components, and serviceable without requiring an exclusive maintenance agreement. Contractors must be properly licensed in South Carolina, qualified or authorized by the proposed manufacturer, and have completed at least three similar projects within the previous five years. Final completion is required within 60 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. A mandatory pre-quote meeting and site visit is required for quotation eligibility.
