Description
Dakota County is seeking a contractor to upgrade fire alarm systems at the Lebanon Hills Retreat Center and Robert Trail Library. The work includes supplying and installing replacement fire panels, annunciators, manual pull stations, photoelectric and heat detectors, mounting bases, duct-detector housings, relay and monitor modules, and remote test key switches; programming the new panels; correcting deficiencies required by current fire codes; removing and disposing of replaced equipment; pulling permits; and maintaining continuous fire monitoring during the work, including fire watches or temporary system merging as needed. The existing Bosch fire dialer will remain in service, with Contact ID preferred for the new panels. The contractor must coordinate work around the facilities' operating constraints, including week-long maintenance blocks at the Lebanon Hills Retreat Center and scheduling with staff at the Robert Trail Library, where a lift will be needed because of high ceilings. Subcontractors are permitted for work outside the contractor's scope, but the prime contractor remains responsible for all subcontractor work. The proposal must include a transmittal letter, firm introduction and qualifications, a work plan and detailed itemized budget, conflict-of-interest information, exceptions and deviations, agreement with contract terms, and registration/good-standing information. Required county attachments include the Standard Assurances, Insurance Terms, Non-Collusion and Conflict of Interest Statement, Trade Secret Form, and County Security Requirements.
