Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide preventative maintenance for existing Spacesaver mobile systems and VIDIR Bed Lifts at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and incidentals. Work includes two scheduled maintenance visits per year, inspection and servicing of mobile storage systems and bed lifts, lubrication and adjustment of mechanical components, verification of safety features, wiring and hardware checks, removal and replacement of beds on the lifts, and related cleaning and operational checks. Factory-trained technicians, an on-site supervisor with OSHA 10 certification, and certified Spacesaver and VIDIR installers are required. Repairs or parts beyond preventive maintenance require a separate quote, approval, and purchase order before work begins. The contract includes a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, with an additional potential six-month extension under the applicable option clause. The solicitation is a commercial-services RFQ evaluated on lowest price, subject to responsibility standards and available funding.
