NOTICE OF INVITATION FOR BID NO. IFB-2600014342 MAIN JAIL EAST ROOF REPLACEMENT This project intends to replace approximately 85,000+ sq.ft of roof located at Pima County Adult Detention Center, 1270 W. Silverlake Rd., Tucson, AZ 85713. The replacement roof will be a Self-Adhered Modified Bitumen Polyglass system or equivalent. The County's expectation of the Contractor is to remove the existing roof and install the new roof during the work week (Monday thru Friday). There is a MANDATORY site visit and the names of attendees MUST be received by Pima County Procurement Department by date and time identified below. Estimated cost for the project is between $1,250,000.00 and $1,500,000.00. The project shall be complete and in place within 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages for late delivery will be assessed per Article 7 of the General Conditions. Due to the limited scope of work, no goal for participation by Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) has been established for this project. However, contractors are encouraged to maximize the use of certified SBEs where possible. Description
Pima County is soliciting a contractor to remove and properly dispose of the existing roof and install approximately 85,000+ square feet of a self-adhered modified bitumen Polyglass roofing system or approved equivalent at the Pima County Adult Detention Center. The work includes supplying labor, materials, equipment, roof drains, ancillary materials, and related demolition, flashing, equipment relocation and reinstallation, waterproofing, quality-control documentation, and cleanup. Work is to occur during the work week, generally Monday through Friday, while maintaining the facility's operations and complying with applicable safety and security procedures. The estimated project cost is $1,250,000 to $1,500,000, with completion required within 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must hold an appropriate Arizona contractor's license, provide a 10% bid bond, and the awarded contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds and required insurance. Attendance at the September 18, 2026, site visit is mandatory; attendee names must be submitted to Pima County Procurement Department by September 15, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Bids must be submitted electronically through BidNet Direct; mail, email, telephone, fax, and in-person submissions will not be accepted.
