Description
Frederick County Public Schools is establishing a pool of pre-qualified general construction contractors to perform construction, repair, rehabilitation, and maintenance work on an as-needed, project-by-project basis for its Construction Management and Maintenance Departments. Qualification does not guarantee a minimum amount of work or constitute an award of an individual construction project; qualified contractors will be eligible to compete for future project opportunities. Applicants must be legally authorized and properly licensed to work in Maryland, have at least five years of general construction experience, demonstrate a minimum aggregate bonding capacity of $1,000,000, and provide five completed-project references. The qualification package requires company experience, staffing, safety, licensing, insurance, bonding, financial, and reference information. The initial contract term is two years from award through November 30, 2028, with two additional two-year extensions available at the Board's discretion. Individual projects may impose separate pricing, bonding, insurance, wage, MBE, and schedule requirements.
