Description
The City of Westbrook, Maine, is seeking a contractor to provide snow removal and winter maintenance services for the Riverfront Municipal Parking Garage and Downtown Parking Garage. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials; perform services as needed based on weather conditions; and support snow removal from designated areas at each garage. Proposers must describe their service plan, expected results, experience, assigned personnel, equipment, fees, references, 24-hour contact information, and information required from the City. Specialized equipment is required to protect the garage structures. Snow-removal vehicles may not exceed 8,000 pounds when fully loaded, plow blades and related mechanisms contacting the decks must be covered with plastic or rubber, and deicing chemicals are limited to calcium magnesium acetate and/or magnesium chloride. Unsalted sand may be used for spot icing. The solicitation covers a three-year contract with two mutual option years, and proposers may bid on one or both garages.
