Description
This construction opportunity covers a 0.532-mile, 12-foot-wide asphalt multiuse path extending from Interstate 295 Exit 17 to the Cousins River Bridge in Yarmouth. The work includes clearing and grubbing, excavation, embankment and muck removal, aggregate subbase, hot mix asphalt pavement, curbing, driveway and entrance reconstruction, fencing, erosion and sediment controls, drainage improvements, culvert and catch-basin installation, underdrains, riprap, pavement markings, signs, traffic control, and related incidental work. The contractor must coordinate with multiple utility companies and local utilities, maintain traffic and access, comply with coastal wetland and in-water work restrictions, provide construction quality control and required documentation, and coordinate with other nearby projects. The contract completion date is November 30, 2027. Federal-aid requirements include disadvantaged-business-enterprise reporting, prevailing-wage and certified-payroll obligations, and a minimum 30% self-performance requirement excluding specialty items.
