Description
The City of Portland, Maine, is requesting proposals for comprehensive design, public outreach, evaluation, and construction support services for the Brighton Avenue Safety Demonstration Project. The project covers approximately one mile of Brighton Avenue between City Hospital Drive and Wayside Road and is intended to deploy data-driven, constructible, and cost-effective safety strategies in 2027. The selected consultant will support rigorous evaluation of the demonstration and preparation of a final data report in early 2028 before the City determines whether to pursue permanent infrastructure changes. The project is funded through the FHWA Safe Streets for All grant. Proposals must be submitted using the attached form and remain open for 90 days after opening.
