Description
Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office Health Services is soliciting electrolyte-replacement drink powders comparable to Gatorade or Powerade, including at least two sugar-free flavor options. Each product must be packaged in an individual, pre-measured packet that yields exactly five gallons when mixed with water, with no measuring required. Products must match their labeled flavor, have an acceptable taste, and not cause temporary discoloration of the mouth, lips, urine, or feces; the County discourages dyes and artificial colorants. Bidders must submit a completed pricing schedule, product catalog or list, complete nutrition-label information for each proposed product, references, and the required bidder cover summary. Product samples for every proposed flavor and formulation must be provided as specified, and samples must be the same products being bid. The resulting non-exclusive contract has a six-year term, with no guaranteed purchase quantity; the County estimates annual purchases of $5,000 for information purposes only. Pricing must include delivery and remain firm for the first two years, subject to the stated adjustment limits thereafter.
