Description
The City of Dublin is establishing a qualified pool of nonprofit Beverage Operators to manage alcoholic beverage service for City-hosted community and signature events. Responsibilities include obtaining required alcohol, health, business, and seller permits; providing insurance; supplying alcohol, cups, wristbands, staffing, training, inventory control, cash handling, payment processing, booth operations, and responsible beverage service; and coordinating with wineries, breweries, City staff, and Police Services. Operators must provide volunteers age 21 or older, an on-site trained Beverage Manager, and a written Beverage Operations Plan. The City may assign operators to Tier 1 signature events or Tier 2 community events and may select one or more operators without guaranteeing future assignments. Applicants must be nonprofit organizations based in and serving Dublin residents for at least one year, hold or obtain the required business license and temporary seller's permit, demonstrate sufficient volunteer and financial capacity, and provide proof of insurance including liquor liability coverage. Tier 1 applicants must also document prior beverage-service experience at a City of Dublin event, provide records of applicable ABC licenses, and submit two City staff references. The qualified pool is intended to have an initial two-year term, with individual event assignments made annually.
