Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is soliciting a certified service-disabled veteran-owned small business to provide a bulk medical-grade liquid oxygen system and associated services for activation of a new medical center. The scope includes furnishing and installing an approximately 6,000-gallon primary tank and 900-gallon reserve tank, vaporizers, regulators, alarms, monitoring equipment, piping, electrical components, and related system components; monthly tank rental; continuous monitoring; preventive maintenance; testing and inspection; system verification; and medical-grade liquid oxygen filling, including emergency refills. The contractor must verify the facility's medical gas and vacuum systems, including outlets, source equipment, piping, alarms, and associated components, in accordance with NFPA 99. Qualified ASSE 6030 personnel independent of the installation activities must perform verification testing, and installers must meet ASSE 6015 requirements. The work also includes coordination, documentation, training, emergency response capability, delivery records, certificates of analysis, and eventual de-installation of the bulk tank system with temporary oxygen service if required. The solicitation requires an OEM or authorized dealer, distributor, or reseller and an OEM authorization letter for proposed equipment.
