Description
The State of California, through the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation and California Correctional Health Care Services, is soliciting providers for statewide, on-site audiology services on an as-needed basis for referred incarcerated patients at participating institutions. Services include comprehensive diagnostic hearing evaluations, pure-tone and speech audiometry, immittance testing, otoacoustic emissions testing, hearing-loss assessment, hearing-aid recommendations, medically indicated referrals, and related clinical documentation. The contractor must provide qualified, currently licensed California audiologists, all necessary equipment and supplies, calibrated hearing-test equipment, transportation, staffing, and required institutional training and clearances. Services must be performed at participating institutions, generally with an opportunity to see at least two patients per hour, and providers must comply with correctional-facility security, health-record, HIPAA, licensing, and reporting requirements. The agreement is for 36 months, with a possible additional 12-month extension; multiple agreements may be awarded by region or institution.
