This project involves the design and installation of an energy resilience microgrid system for the U.S. Army's 63rd Readiness Division in Mountain View, California. The system is intended to provide over 14 days of power for mission-critical functions, utilizing both renewable and fossil fuel sources. Key components include a 750kW photovoltaic (PV) solar system with low voltage switchgear, a 750kWh battery energy storage system (BESS), and an 800kW diesel backup generator with a 10,000-gallon fuel storage tank. The microgrid will feature a master controller and automatic smart switches for generation resource management within the Reserve Center. The installation will be on a closed restricted network (CRN) requiring an Authority to Operate (ATO) in accordance with DODI 8510.01, and system cybersecurity will be designed per UFC 4-010-06.
